In many countries around the world voting is not a privilage, it’s a responsibility. Some countries go as far as making voting a requirement and if you don’t participate you are fined.

This was a great little video about this important Asian festivity. Of course different communities will be celebrating around the globe - including in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, and New York.
