I hate hating

The ways in which we speak are generally an indication of many things about ourselves, our thoughts, our habits, our motivation levels, our treatment of others, our view of the world, our direction…well, you name it.
I used to say things like “I hate….” this and that and that other thing. Usually all kinds of small things. Most of the times, I didn’t really hate those things - just disliked them, but I was used to saying “hate” - it’s almost a lingo of sorts. It was only a couple of years ago that I realized how I was using language….and what I was saying, and I came to the realization that I don’t want to hear myself - or for others to hear me - saying that I hate…anything or anyone. I don’t. I may get angry but “hate” is a really strong word. In today’s world we do too much unconscious (on top of all the conscious) hating and we need to start changing that. Don’t hate folks! You’ll find out you’re missing out on soooo much!
Pay attention to your words - not as easy a task as it sounds - and make a positive change. It is a small detail but changes like these start with one and spread fast - making a difference that you didn’t know you could make.
