Water Conservation

Our lifesyles include unreasonable and unconcisous water usage. In the US we are too confortable with the idea that natural resources for US citizens are abundant. We don’t think that we will see an end to them. This is definetely the impression we get if we’re ‘city’ people. But in other parts of the country lack of water is a reality like none of us have ever experienced. The first place I think of is a majority of Indigenous Reservations across the country where water is no longer a resource that these communitie have access to - their water resources have long been diverted to feed us in urban communities.
You might think that you’re good at not wasting water but are you really? Check. Do you let the water run while you wash dishes, brush your teeth, shower? Do you know how to better maintain a garden? What are the most effective times of day to water your plants? Do you know about recyclable water? Do you own a pool? Do you play golf? Do you know how much water goes to waste just in watering golf courses or other similar landscape for the sake of entertainment?
Aren’t you glad your toilet water isn’t regulated? Aren’t you glad you don’t have to hike a few miles to gather your days water? Let’s try to keep it that way, no? It’s the responsible thing to do.
Living w/out water:
Navy Showers:
Recycling water/Using “Grey Water”:
Grey Water - used water that could be reused/recycled.
Black water - used water that is not safe to use, like toilet water.
